Value & Duration of Award:

• All Wellington Scholarship Program offers include a stipend of $29,500 per annum plus domestic tuition fees for up to three years.
• Scholarships are typically tenable for three years, but for students enrolled in a Doctorate for more than six months at the time of the scholarship offer, the tenure may be adjusted at the discretion of the Victoria University Research Scholarships Committee.

Selection Criteria:

• The scholarships are awarded to top-ranked candidates in any Doctoral admission and scholarship application round throughout the year.
• Applicants must have a strong academic record, excellent academic references, and demonstrate potential for high-quality research or a record of publication in high-quality journals.

Eligibility:

• Graduates of any university within or outside of New Zealand who intend to enroll full-time for a Doctorate (PhD) or have commenced their doctoral study at Victoria University of Wellington.

How To Apply:

• Start your application for a PhD or Doctor of Musical Arts at any time under the Wellington Scholarship Program, but applications are considered three times a year: deadlines are March 1, July 1, and November 1.
• For Doctor of Education, Doctor of Health, Doctor of Nursing, and Doctor of Midwifery, applications are considered once a year with a deadline of November 1.
• It’s crucial to refer to the website for regulations and further process requirements regarding scholarship application.

Begin your application as early as possible to ensure completion before the deadline. Incomplete applications after 4:30 pm (NZ time) on the day of the deadline will require reapplication in the following round.
