This scholarship programme provides financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for this Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of China, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, or Turkey.
• Be paying fees at the overseas fee rate.
• Have met any language condition of their offer by the deadline.
• Have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a one-year postgraduate taught course at the University of York by the deadline.

• Students from Nigeria are eligible to apply only if they have an offer to study specific law courses (listed below).

• A GREAT scholarship may be combined with external funding as long as it does not cover 100% of tuition fees.
• Successful candidates will be required to represent the University of York and the British Council as ambassadors for the GREAT scheme.
