Apply For 2024 Texas Tech University Presidential Scholarship, USA

The Texas Tech University Presidential Scholarship recognizes entering first-time freshmen who demonstrate exceptional academic ability through outstanding test scores and class ranking.

  • Value & Duration of Award:
  • The scholarship covers one-half of the tuition for both fall and spring terms annually.
  • Non-resident recipients of the Presidential Scholarship also qualify for in-state tuition.

Eligible Countries: International Countries


  • Incoming freshmen or first-year college students are eligible (college credits earned through dual-credit, CLEP, or AP do not disqualify applicants).
  • Must maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) as outlined on the “Terms and Conditions” tab of MyTech.
  • Full-time enrollment in a Texas Tech University academic program is mandatory, with a minimum accumulation of 30 TTU hours per year (checked in May).
  • Maintain current addresses, including email address, on MyTech.
  • Write a thank-you letter to the scholarship donor as directed by the Texas Tech University Scholarship Office.
  • Attendance at required donor events is mandatory.

  1. Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria.
  2. Complete the application process for admission to Texas Tech University as an incoming freshman.
  3. Provide necessary documentation and information required for the scholarship application.
  4. Submit your scholarship application by the specified deadline, April 15, 2024.
  5. Await notification regarding the status of your scholarship application.

Note: If awarded the Presidential Scholarship from the TTU Presidential Scholarship program, it replaces any other Presidential scholarship offers. The scholarship applies only to Texas Tech University programs of study and does not transfer to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), Texas Tech Costa Rica, or Angelo State University.
