The Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at Gondar University provides fully funded opportunities to African students, covering tuition, accommodation, living stipends, a laptop, flight expenses, and meals at the university canteens. This scholarship aims to benefit academically talented but disadvantaged youth from five East African countries – Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and South Sudan.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree relevant to their proposed graduate program from a recognized University, using English as the medium of instruction in the past 5 years.
- Have graduated with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) at graduation.
- Be citizens and permanent residents of Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, or Djibouti.
- Youth applicants with disabilities and female applicants with financial difficulty are strongly encouraged to apply.
