2024 Mandela Rhodes Scholarships for African Students to Study at South African Universities

The Mandela Rhodes Scholarships Programme 2024 is open to all African students who desire to pursue a degree program at a South African University. This scholarship covers tuition and registration fees set by the institution, study materials allowance, accommodation and meal allowances, a medical aid allowance, economy-class travel allowance, and personal allowance.

Value of Mandela Rhodes Scholarships: The Scholarship covers the cost of a Scholar as follows:

• Tuition and registration fees as set by the institution;
• A study materials allowance as set by the MRF;
• Accommodation and meal allowances as set by the MRF;
• A medical aid allowance as set by the MRF;
• Economy-class travel allowance for international Scholars only from the Scholar’s home to their institution at the beginning and back home at the end of their degree programme;
• Personal allowance.

Duration of Scholarship: Full funding is for Honours (maximum one year) or Masters (up to a maximum of two years)

Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:

• be Africans
• have completed their bachelors degree program.
• be between the age of 19 – 30 years.
• have applied for a course of study at any South African Country.
• have good academic records.
