Job Description:

This position requires a professional with practical knowledge of contracts. The Senior Specialist, Contracts, will support larger, moderately complex contracts that are of substantial importance to the organization, with moderate oversight or direction. The role involves communication within and outside the organization to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and approaches, making basic adjustments in processes, systems, or products. This professional will provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans with measurable impacts on business or functional results.

Key Responsibilities:

• RFP review and risk assessment
• Proposal preparation
• Contract negotiation
• Contract administration
• Customer contact activities for assigned contracts/programs
• Serving as the primary communication conduit between L3Harris and their respective customers
• Providing a proactive voice in the business process
• Ensuring proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
• Analyzing material estimates, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules for accuracy and completeness
• Preparing bids and proposals
• Preparing and conducting negotiations
• Conducting change management processes with the internal team and communicating equitable adjustment rights to customers
• Utilizing a contract sales order system to record contract awards and modifications
• Advising management of contractual rights and obligations
• Compiling and analyzing data as required
• Maintaining historical information for assigned contracts

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. OR
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. OR
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, CAS
• Experience with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc) are a strong plus.
