Job Summary:

Stretford Hill Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed within their projected budgets.

Job Description/Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project budgets and make improvements to ensure project sustainability.
• Review construction plans and prepare material quantity estimates.
• Negotiate with various contractors.
• Estimate building and project costs.
• Evaluate design preferences against applicable regulations and standards in cost estimation.
• Evaluate quantity and costs of materials required, labor hours needed, and track progress payments.
• Conduct site inspections and hold discussions with key supervisors.
• Provide periodic updates and forecast project futures, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Undertake measurements of sites and buildings to ensure conformity to plans.
• Visit sites to ensure subcontractors are conforming to plans.
• Ensure costs, payment, and technical specification clauses are accurately and appropriately drafted.
• Plan procurement and tendering strategy.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and tender documents.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• 3 years of working experience.
