Job Summary:

Jobberman, through its third-party recruitment services, is seeking a Management Accountant for its client in Lagos. The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate management reporting, analyzing costs, preparing financial statements, managing capital expenditure, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and sound management reporting for decision-making.
• Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
• Conduct internal cost audits.
• Manage taxation.
• Prepare statutory and management accounts.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and planning processes.
• Manage capital expenditure.
• Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Review accounting processes and practices for efficiency.
• Review company assets and liabilities.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts.
• Assess monthly expenses.
• Produce month-end and year-end journals.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation.

Requirements:

• A graduate degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Professional certification in finance and/or accounting from a recognized professional body (e.g., ACCA, ICAN, etc.) is a must.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Management Accountant.
