How Much is the Bezos Scholarship?

Twelve outstanding high school juniors and twelve outstanding educators from across the United States will be chosen. Schools can receive $1,000 per year for the next three years to continue their festivals.

The scholarship program seeks independent thinkers, demonstrated leaders, and active community members.

To represent their respective high schools, 12 top high school juniors and 12 leading educators from across the United States will be chosen.

What are the Requirements for the Bezos Scholarship?

1. Applicants must be enrolled in a school that meets the following requirements:

• High Schools for the Public (including Charter and Magnet schools
• At least 30% of students qualify for the free/reduced lunch program (this is a firm cutoff)

2. Applicants for Student Scholars must meet the following requirements:

• Enrolled in a public high school that meets the aforementioned requirements
• Junior in a public high school during the 2015-16 academic year
• Legal United States Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Showcase your leadership in the classroom and the community.
• Have taken at least one of the tests listed below: PSAT, SAT, orACT Aspire
• You must be enrolled in or have completed one or more Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or college-level courses.
• All dates are available for participation.

What are the Selection Criteria for the Bezos Scholarship?
