Job Summary:

Prospective HR is seeking a growth-oriented expert to lead the development of business strategies aimed at expanding their data products. The Head of Data Commercialisation will drive ongoing enhancements to the positioning and strategy of data offerings, formulating a roadmap for delivering and commercialising data assets to empower diverse regions.

Data Strategy and Data Product Development:

  • Develop solutions for complex health data-related business challenges by understanding client buyer needs.
  • Formulate and execute strategies spanning Data Services, Data Management, Utilisation, Horizontal Services, External Data Sharing, Machine Learning, and AI.
  • Identify gaps in commercialisation and product adoption, collaborating with teams to provide effective solutions.
  • Create pricing models for data products based on market demand, value proposition, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with product and growth teams to prioritise data products meeting market demands.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, presenting data commercialisation opportunities, progress, and results.

Data Commercialisation:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy aligning with overall business objectives for data asset commercialisation.
  • Identify and develop innovative data products and services, leading commercial activation and operational aspects.
  • Drive revenue generation through effective data commercialisation strategies, taking ownership of Profit and Loss (P&L).
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for data commercialisation efforts, regularly monitoring and reporting on performance.
  • Cultivate partnerships with external organisations, data vendors, and potential clients to enhance data commercialisation prospects.
  • Engage with senior management levels, both at client organisations and internally, to confirm strategies and develop client engagement plans.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts aligned with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with growth teams to develop effective outreach strategies.
  • Manage grants from conversations to submission to achieve a sustainable win rate.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify data monetisation opportunities, understanding industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
  • Oversee marketing efforts for data products and establish strategic intent for various distribution channels.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in data monetisation.

Team Leadership:

  • Build and manage a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead the cross-functional team involved in data commercialisation, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.


  • Over 10 years of proven experience in selling data solutions and designing/commercialising data products.
  • Advantageous experience in the healthcare or healthtech sector.
  • Strong business acumen with a successful track record in commercialisation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and protection regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong executive communication skills and adept at stakeholder engagement.
  • Extensive experience in decision-making, involving critical assessment of objectives and determining the most effective approaches for desired outcomes.
  • Proficient in negotiation and relationship management.
  • Knowledgeable about public health trends, challenges, and key stakeholders.
  • Holds a first degree in Business, Data Sciences, or a related field.
